UNIVERSITY OF MEMPHIS
ASSISTANT DIRECTOR OF ADMISSIONS FOR RECRUITMENT

The Office of Admissions at the University of Memphis is seeking candidates for the position of Assistant
Director of Admissions for Recruitment.  Reporting to the Senior Associate Director of Admissions, the
position coordinates all undergraduate recruitment activities as appropriate and acts as a liaison
between the University and prospective students, parents, counselors, and community college
representatives.  In consultation with the Senior Associate Director, the position also oversees the
hiring, supervising, and training of recruitment staff and is heavily involved in New Student Orientation.



Additional duties include:

·       Manages large-scale, on-campus recruiting events

      Manages the Tennessee, Arkansas, and Mississippi regional recruitment calendars

·       Hires, trains, and supervises student ambassador staff

·       Coordinates and executes personalized campus visits for high ability, scholarship eligible students

·       Coordinates off campus recruitment receptions and special events



The position requires a Master’s Degree, three years of experience in higher education administration,
and preferably one year of experience in recruitment, admissions, or student services; or an equivalent
combination of related education and experience.
